Yesterday evening, to kick off the first evening of the event “Salon Rio”, Brandt School student Edson Ziso gave a presentation about the social and ecological impacts of urbanization in Zimbabwe, which was then followed by a discussion. The talk was hosted and broadcast by Radio F.R.E.I.
June 2012 is the 20th anniversary of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. According to the Rio motto “think globally, act locally”, the event Salon Rio offers the opportunity to explore and discuss sustainability in other countries and to engage new perspectives.
