Salon Rio: Part II

On Monday, June 11th, I had the opportunity to present some of my research that I’ve been conducting for my master’s thesis about development policy, concentrating on women’s participation in water management in Nepal. I co-presented this topic with friend and fellow student, Mei Ling Aw.

It was the 2nd event of the three-part Salon Rio conference hosted at Radio F.R.E.I. and sponsored by the Heinrich Böll Foundation of Thüringen. Click here for the complete program.

The lecture was followed by a vibrant discussion with many in-depth questions regarding the topic. Not only was the discussion interesting, but it allowed me to reflect on several of my arguments in my thesis, as well as providing me with a critical platform for feedback regarding my approach.

In the morning, I also had the opportunity to be part of a radio interview (in German) to promote the event: click here to hear it!

Both of us had a great time presenting the research – a very big thanks to the Böll Foundation and Radio F.R.E.I.
